COUNTRIES OF DELIVERY

Mi-8/17 type helicopters in passenger modification have been delivered to many countries.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Helicopter instrumentation ensures:

The flight-navigation equipment is intended for flying the helicopter, navigation tasks and landing in adverse weather conditions at day and night.

The set of instruments can be in different options:

from traditional classics to high-tech glass cockpit.

The helicopter have a large volume passenger compartment (23 m3) with a high ceiling (1.80 m) and a wide width (2.34 m). It is possible to carry up to 26 passengers under the standard of passenger air transportation conditions. For fewer passengers are provided a special, highly comfortable VIP level conditions.

COMFORT

The vibration damper is installed in the main rotor hub for damping vibration.

A further reduction of vibrations, heat retention and sound balance in the passenger compartment are provided through the installation of an integrated system of heat, sound and vibration insulation.

SAFETY

To provide flight safety over the water there is installed emergency floatation system on the helicopter. The system provides buoyancy within the time that is sufficient for setting up the rafts, and for leaving the helicopter by the passengers and the crew at life jackets.

The number and location of emergency exits complies with safety standards, all the windows are easy-removable. To increase the range of flight (up to 1,180 km) and duration (plus more than 2.5 hours of flight) additional fuel tanks are installed. 

The helicopter can be equipped with wire strike protection system in order to protect the helicopter and its flight continuation after wire strike accident.

ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM

The helicopter design makes possible to carry out high-quality maintenance and repair in the course of helicopter operation at minimum labor consumption.  The helicopter assemblies and units are made ready accessible, easy removable and interchangeable.

During the operation it is provided following types of helicopter maintenance:

  • on-line maintenance;
  • periodic inspections and maintenance;
  • temporal maintenance;
  • extra work maintenance is required after helicopter loading under abnormal operating conditions;
  • helicopter maintenance during storage;
  • helicopter maintenance with the newly installed units.
